Fed: Dems question commitment to cleaning up defence conduct
CANBERRA, Jan 12 AAP - Australian Democrats leader Natasha Stott Despoja today questionedthe federal government's commitment to stamping out misconduct in the Australian DefenceForce (ADF).
Senator Stott Despoja said in light of new allegations about Australian Navy behaviourat a United States base the government must act.
Australian navy personnel are being investigated over an incident at the Diego Garciabase in the Indian Ocean from where US bombers launch missions to Afghanistan, 4,000kmto the north.
