Fed: Aussie police seek access to asylum seekers in Turkey

SYDNEY, Feb 9 AAP - Australian authorities have begun diplomatic moves to interview
asylum seekers now back in Turkey who claim a Sydney man organised their failed boat voyage
to Melville Island.
Federal police officers are expected to travel to Turkey once they are granted permission
to take sworn statements from the men.
Five of the 14 men who reached Australia by boat last November, and who previously
refused to provide statements, now say they want to sign them and give evidence in court
against Sydney kebab …
