This final report of the task force composed of Internet and communications industry leaders such as AT&T, Comcast, Facebook, Google and Microsoft presents analysis of technologies and policies that help reduce the risk of children's exposure to dangerous contact and content on the Internet. The volume explains the methodologies used in the development of this report including a summary of the literature reviewed and methods of analysis for the logging of instances of sexual solicitation, harassment and bullying and exposure to inappropriate content experienced by children on the Internet. The report includes discussion of risk factors as well as recommendations for technological improvements and changes that might mitigate risk. The report concludes with an appendix outlining security plans and precautions already put in place by over twenty specific media and Internet companies.
